Is it okay to just "enjoy" my job (which does not involve my passions), actively pursue my passions on the side, and still have this attractive lifestyle?

Yes.

Mark Manson is a great guy and he's written some brilliant stuff, but "pursue your passion" is kind of a dumb religion in the self-help world. It's just not realistic for a lot of people. You need to do what is best for your life rather than what you "enjoy" doing. I do comedy and I see a lot of people ruin their life pursuing comedy when they should probably just get a regular job.

His general idea is correct though.

Don't take the book too literally. It's mark mansons version of life, but it's not the only true version there is.

Ideally, I'd love to apply my business knowledge to any one of those passions, but in reality who the hell knows where I'll be in 5 or 10 years.

You should know where you want to be, and do what you can to achieve it. It is no guarantee to get there, but if you don't try, you will definitely not get there. In context of the book, you should do everything so you have a job that fulfills you, something where you get up in the morning and say to yourself: "I love this job!" then go there, do your work and want to get better at what you do. I know so many people who hate their jobs, people who get sick 10 times a year for weeks only to not have to go to work. People who get depressive because they know they have to work this crap job for the rest of their lives. If you feel this way, you will show it to the outside world, and women don't want a guy in their lives that is always in bad mood.

I have a job that is fulfilling in a company that is awesome, i never felt that way before, and this makes me feel at ease and happy. This shows. When i started working here, friends and familiy started mentioning how much i have changed, how happy i look, how confident i suddenly became. Sometimes it's the little things that have the most impact on you.

Hehehe.

I know people who have never had a job, who have zero ambition, and are, in most senses of the word, the biggest losers you can imagine, and some of them absolutely kill it with the girls and have amazing sex lives!

They are typically 'bad boys' I guess you could say, and some of them are in relationships with girls who have brilliant, well-paid jobs and kind of 'keep them'. Others just bang all of the horny teenage girls around the town.

I wouldn't take lots of this 'inner game'stuff too seriously!

As was already stated, when Mark says "If your true passion is art, and you push paper around at an insurance firm, then you're not living honestly", you shouldn't necessarily take it 100% literally. Keep in mind, he's speaking as someone who had dreams of traveling and such, but worked at a bank (I believe) for a good bit, and he hated it. He then decided to quit his bank job and start travelling while making his blogging/writing his career.

Granted, not everyone will be able to pursue their passion as a career path in the way he did, but that's fine. That doesn't mean these people have to have their passion excluded from their life. The entire point is that you should be feeding fulfillment into your life by pursuing your passions, and you can do this even if your passion isn't your career. So to answer your question, yeah, you can still do your regular job and pursue your passions on the side, as long as you legitimately feel fulfillment from it.
