I been in this game for many years now, so had my fair share of successes and failures.

Went out the last few nights in NYC to a club and then to a concert, and I definitely have removed most approach anxiety, I met and talked to a TON of women, but my issue is nothing seems to stick.

I don't think it's a looks issue either, I think I'm just not playing my cards correctly... for example, at the concert I would say hi to many girls, start a convo, and they're pretty receptive, but then it never seems to go anywhere, and even the times where I tried to escalate with a "hey, you want to dance?" they turned me down, usually with the lame excuse of boyfriend or whatever but it felt fake and like a polite turndown because of my methodology.

Maybe I'm being too indirect? I feel like I need to just be more aggressive and move faster, but what's your guys' opinion? My interactions are always generally receptive so it's not like I'm trying to hit on girls who aren't interested, I just keep fumbling the bag.

Idk just kind of venting here because I'm definitely positively approaching and putting myself out there, but I think I'm failing in the execution department.
