I'm 28, never been in a relationship and never enjoyed the single life. I've been on my first 10 or so dates the last 4 months.

During this time I've had a few girls interested who have given me the opportunity to escalate on 2nd dates. I've escalated with two of those women.. been in bed with both (sadly at different times), and been having sex with one - but I did not have sexual relations with the other.

I set the tone of the relationship (she just got out of 4 year relationship 2 months ago), and said it wouldn't be anything serious.. but now I am seeing some truth to AWALT. They can't help but get emotional.

This is what my ethical dilemma is. I'm not that attracted to this woman and I would be settling if I stuck around. Same for the other girl. Yet I've been, in a self-deluded kind of way, too emotionally available and given them the impression I feel more than I do.

Now I feel like this whole thing has a deeper kind of manipulation. Men biologically want to spread their seed, women biologically want to nurture those seeds through support (keeping you around). This drives highly complicated behaviour, and men's typical behaviour is to manipulate women into thinking he's going to stick around, whether he plans to or not.

I don't know.. please somebody refute that if they think it's way off.

I've naively given women this impression. What can I do to keep this purely sexual in the future? Treat her like a piece of meat? Don't cuddle her or kiss her? I mean, what gives a woman the impression you only want her vagina, and what kind of woman is ok with that? Hell, I don't know if I'm even ok with that level of meaningless sex.

TLDR: feel kinda shitty for leading a couple of women on, and feel like I'd have no sex life if I didn't lead women on.
