A bit of background, I developed an anxiety disorder and was agoraphobic for years and never left my house (not social anxiety or anything, just general anxiety). I was really popular in Highschool, had lots and lots of friends, had lots of girlfriends growing up (lost my V @ age 13). I'm just starting to socialize again and I'm starting to find I'm pretty out of it.
Okay, so I'm pretty good at talking to people I've never met before. I can uphold a good convo about what they like and I like, etc.
But I'm at the point where I have a lot of acquaintances that I know fairly well (their job, what they do for fun, their back story), but any time I see them I just immediately run out of shit to say and it gets REAL awkward.
It goes like, "Hey, how are you?" "Good, how about you?" "Good."
sssilenceeeee... maybe some nodding.
I just forgot about what normal people talk about I guess. I am open to any advice for talking to people. Thanks!
