I went out to meet some friends at a bar and I got there earlier. So I was alone and met a girl. We talked and then I kissed her. Then when she came back from the bathroom, there was a group of guys basically hitting on her and the momentum I built just slowed down. Like we barely interacted while talking to the group. I joined the group while I was waiting for my friends and I wasn't really sure what to do here. I didn't want to try too hard to be all smothering with a girl I just met so I played it cool and talked and joked with the group.

Anyway, my friends get there, I ask her for her number and get it. Then while I'm talking to my friends, the group of guys leave and she leaves as they leave and says she's going home.

Basically, I'm just wondering what you guys do in situations like this. The momentum I built slowed down almost completely and I wasn't going to be the smothering guy given that I only met her an hour ago. I caught some glances here and there at me from her as she was talking to some of the guys in the group so I took it as a good sign at least.
