I live in a small city where you mostly find small bars. When I take a girl out for drinks, we usually sit opposite each other, have some drinks and talk. I'm having some trouble engaging the girls physically while sitting across the table from her. Most of the time everything works out when we either walk to another place or I walk her home. My move is to stick out my arm so she locks her arm into mine and we walk, then when the time is right, I stop, pull her towards me and kiss her. If the spot doesn't come I wing it and see what develops, but thats not what I'm here to discuss.
What bothers me, though, is that the part of the date where we sit and talk is far too formal. I feel that this has caused some of my dates to be unsuccessful, because I wasn't able to build attraction sitting across the table from her. Any advice on the matter would be great. Thanks in advance.
