Not bad since sounds like you were unable to get direct interaction with her normally. Keep in mind that if it is a favorable frame the coworkers will wing you; be a fun and likable guy to them.
Use it to your advantage, and if when she is called to engage you next time confidently enjoy the moment.

Yeah, I'd call this a W. It's a nice indirect way to make yourself more known to her.

I (f) was at a party the other night and fancied that guy (Simon) whom I had just met and who was friends with my friend. Simon spontaneously told my friend he thought I was cute and as someone who finds it really hard to make a move, knowing this gave me the confidence to go and flirt with him because I knew he wouldn't reject me, he was just probably too shy or scared of rejection like me, so it really helped!

Ignore what some of the other dorks responded with.
I feel like this was a great move considering the circumstances.
And yes, if they like you there’s a good chance they’re talking with their friends about you; happened to me at work (worst place to meet someone I know).
Girl at work was asking personal questions but somehow she already knew my age even though I hadn’t given her that prior. There was only one or two people who knew my age and one of them was a friend of hers.

Yeah but I get it, talking to a girl directly is really the only proper way to do it. I’ve just only ever been at her work with her there maybe 6-7 times and like I said in the post, it’s always a “hurry up” type of situation. We’re going back tomorrow, Saturday, so if she’s there I’m going to go see her directly and talk to her. Normally, people in passing don’t look at you multiple times when you’re in their vicinity so I feel like my intuition is correct but we’ll see.

that's how I see it... I catch girls checking me out and then, it appears, trying to be near me (even at funerals), as if setting me up to make a move, tho I don't know if this is just in my head or not. also pretty much every new job that ive had I've been in this situation and it did turn into a relationship

With limited time together and zero contact, what makes you think she has a crush on you based solely on how she stares at you? And what about what you would ask would indicate that you like her? As far as they know, you're the random guy that wants to know where she is for whatever reason. What if they have no idea? Then what?
[–]International-Sky-56 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
You’re right.. I’ll just try and see if I can talk to her on Saturday.
[–]ogfk 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
you’ll always do better with girls is you assume attraction as you did
[–]Macky470744 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I mean seems like some minor indicators of interest to be fair if she's holding eye contact and checking you out.. next time your at work close for her contact information and schedule the date
[–]International-Sky-56 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah that’s true. If I’ve learned one thing it’s that, within reason, if you get multiple signals that she likes you, like being caught looking at you multiple times, smiling, etc. Your gut feeling is usually correct. BUT within reason though, and not 100% of the time. However the ultimate goal is to talk to her, so I can see what they’re saying.

If a girl stares at you multiple times it indicates interest, she's probably not on love but she's simply interested and attracted

Its weird that you're confident, & good looking & you think she might be into you, but you want to pass notes with her friends? Go up to her, say hello, ask what her name is. Do NOT walk into it with the expectation she'll react the way you'd like. Just go meet her, talk about anything except how hot you think she is, or how much you want to hook up or date. Just go be friendly & see how that goes.
When I was in my mid 20's, I worked at a supermarket, a small chain of just 3 stores, they liked to style themselves as a sort of family owned but high end food store. I worked in the seafood dept. 2 women came in 1 day, they were clearly chatting to each other but I'm just there to work. They leave with their fish & a few mins later, 1 of them came back. Both of them were a little older than me, adult woman. She says hey, my friend that was here with me thinks you're really cute, she wants me to give you her number.
I mean ok, but I feel like we're in high school again, passing notes through friends. I was already talking to 1 of my coworkers & we had plans to meet up in a couple days but no one was spoken for, so I called the woman. She was attractive, so why not? We met in town, at a restaurant I really liked, that had great food & she spent the entire meal telling me about her ex, & now she's living with her friend as their baby sitter, & it was obvious that she was still very wrapped up in the end of her previous relationship.
She wasn't mature enough to just speak to me, & she wasn't mature enough to start fresh with a new guy. I could have taken advantage of that, but it would have been a shitty experience for both of us. I called the coworker when I left, when to her apt, & we started dating later.
You might be right that she is attracted to you or curious about you. So go say hello. Be a decent guy about it.

You’re right. I’m going to go talk to her tomorrow if she’s at work, and I’ll report back 😂. I’m 24, so I may just be naive, but normally when I catch a girl looking at me multiple times whenever we’re in the same vicinity it’s usually a sign of a crush. And also, when we catch eye contact and she doesn’t immediately look away, in my experience it’s more often than not that shes at least a little interested in me. I haven’t had that happen a whole lot, but maybe 10-11 times or so, dating back to high school as well. I would have already talked to her, but like I said in the post it’s always a “hurry up” situation when we’re in there and half of the time she’s not even there. I guess I just got impatient when she wasn’t there yesterday, and just thought I’d try to stir the pot a little bit. I guess I was thinking that her friends would text her about it, teasing her and what not. Also, maybe they’ll wing man me a little bit. I was trying to prime her for the next time I see her. But we’ll see how it goes.

Yeah I’ll update. I’m going back tomorrow but she might not be there.
[–]International-Sky-56 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I just updated the post. She wasn’t there this morning, but her coworker told me that she works four days next week, so I’ll try again then.

Girls should always find out from you that you are into them, not from friends or relatives or any third party. So no. Don’t involve other people into your private matters.
