Anything that can be considered an IOI can also be just a coincidence.
A girl touching her hair could mean she's interested in you or it could mean it's annoying her and she's adjusting it to get more comfortable.
A girl entering your personal space or touching you could mean she's interested in you or it could mean she's walking through a narrow passage and you just happen to be there.
A girl laughing at a cheezy joke you just made could be interested in you or she's just laughing at how cheezy it is.
So how do you tell the difference?
You don't read IOIs by observing one thing coaches and experts identify as an IOI and assuming that means she's interested, you read it based on how frequently IOIs pop up.
It can be the same IOI over and over again or a bunch of different IOIs. So if a girl compliment's your posture 5 times in one hour or she compliments it once but then she also does the 3 other examples I gave above within minutes of each other then odds are she is interested.
But if a girl just compliment's your posture one time and you never see another IOI from her then she's probably just appreciating your posture.

Ok, this is good info.
I just found it odd considering this is the second time a woman has complimented my posture. Not the same one, it was two different people in different scenarios.
But I didn't know what to make of it considering is posture, a pretty odd thing to take note of but I didn't know if it qualified as an IOI or not.
Thank you for clearing it up so well.

It's a compliment, it's your job to take things further and see if she's interested.

Would something like posture be considered a compliment or an observation?
[–]dump_fool 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Obviously it's an observation, but do you verbalize your observation without intent?

I guess it would come down to the situation?
Honestly not sure.

Not sure? Take action!
Signals of interest (IOI) are paramount but you have to take action and push things forward to see if they mean anything. There is no definitive answer YOU have to poke the bear to see how it reacts.

No other signs displayed.
I just found it odd it's the second time I've been complimented on the same thing.
Don't know if it had meaning.

It’s a compliment.
