I don’t think you should go with the first option… 😅
Second one sounds pretty okay, I’d just end it with “free this weekend?” It’s fairly confident and unexpected I think, would think it’d work.

Makes sense, gotta be straight forward

Dude I get you're trying to be funny but really you're just telling her you went home alone and didn't do shit
It seems you're just enjoying the situation which is cool, I don't want to kill your vibe but I'd just straight ask her out because you're not going to influence her decision by trying to soften her up with a joke. She either will meet up with you or she won't at this point regardless what you text her. In other words she's already interested or she's not
Also keep in mind you can call her if you want to show a little more of your personality through voice and tone

Totally agree, there is no point hopping around

“I’m going to _____ this weekend, you seem like you know how to have a good time. You can come along”
After of course introducing yourself and she knows who you are. You don’t need to do a lot when you first get the number. It’s essentially to set up a date. The second option you have could do that.
Oh yeah thats way better thanks

When she texts asking what happened, just tell her, "I realized that I kind of liked hanging out with you AND that I hoped to see you again. So can I take you out for a drink sometime?"

Doesnt this sound slightly needy?

It doesn't have to sound needy. It's being totally honest, open, and transparent so it helps establish him as a quality person who is brave enough to show who he is (and it helps establish trust and safety that he will tell it like he feels.)
