As soon as the bill was split, the decision was made. I think a better way to get over this is to see them as friends. I'm not saying make them friends,but talk to them as friends and don't be afraid to push the boundaries a bit. When talking to them with a friend mindset ( for the most part ) it allows for things to flow more naturally and at the end of the day be less depressed about it because your hopes were as high if you get rejected/ghosted.

For the most part I try not to think about to much. I might go over what I could have done better and what I think I should have tried but at the end of the day, I just take the L and keep on moving on to the next one.

Sweetheart let me tell you about rejection.

I've been seeing a girl for 10 weeks, she sleeps in my bed 4-5 nights a week, is attached at my hip, hot as fuck, sexy as hell and a total sweetie.

Two nights ago I'm driving her home after she spent the last two days at my place and she says "I don't want a relationship, I can't do this", gets out of my car and I haven't heard from her since.

That's REAL rejection and it's fucking STINGS!

You just lost a first date, be glad you didn't have any serious deep feelings for her.
