Texting is not real life. Some people just don’t like texting. Has nothing to do with being a girl or a boy, being interested or not.

When I first began talking with my wife on OKC she lived in Boston. It could be a week before I would see a reply from her. I lived in South Jersey and worked 12 to 16 hour days, four days a week. I would reply once a week normally. We would also have lengthy text exchanges at times. I was on a work trip in a very remote area of Argentina so it took me almost a month to reply once. When we would write, it would be long letters. Paragraphs full of what we had done and a list of questions we had for each other. Since we didn't chat every day we had lots to say and it was great. By the time we met, which was 4 or 5 months later, we had a great first date. We closed the place down that night. I was dating two other girls at the time, and she made such an impact on me that I unintentionally ghosted them. Only months later did I even realize I had done so. I felt so bad since that was not my MO. That was 7 years ago and have been married 4 years this June. I'm guessing you're a busy person, and I'd like to think that she's also. This may be why she cannot reply right away at times. You can build an actual lasting relationship. This exchange may not go anywhere, or it may be until the rest of your life. If she's worth it, you won't rush it. Enjoy what you have and treasure it. It may become your Love Story. The one that will be repeated not only by you as you grow old but by your children and grandchildren. We are so accustomed to instant gratification we forget that great things happen slowly.

ok I suppose that makes sense. Any tips for escalating when we meet for the school trip? It will have a lot of students and lot of drinking

I've actually found my standards have changed upward as I've crested 30. If she is around my age, I won't even bother gaming or putting forth any effort unless she is at my level of attractiveness....which rules out 80% of Western women. It's tough (and humbling) when you have to go backward in quality to get bangs. Concur though that significantly younger women get some latitude in the looks department as compared to same-aged women

Huh??

How has she responded when you've asked her out?

We’re currently geographically far but plan to meet up when we start school. We had a school trip planned and she was kinda upset when I didn’t book the same airbnb as her but one with other classmates

Then I would take her effort as a good sign. If she's in grad school and working I'd give her the benefit of the doubt regarding the texting

I would not put too much weight on her texting speed, especially since you haven’t even met in person. Some people aren’t big texters. If she is still texting you and is available to meet up when school starts, I’d take that as a good sign. See how things go when you meet in person.

Haha the woman I’m talking to right now does the same shit. She’ll text all early in the morning, I’ll reply, and nothing for hours.
She did warn me that she’s not on her phone a lot and it’d be more in person getting to know each other which is fine with me. I like the good morning texts though, I just need to get used to not expecting a reply I guess.

She just likes the attention. When she meets her quota from you, she dips....then returns hours or days later to recharge.

I think this might be the case. So no chance of our nether regions meeting then to make a two-backed beast?
[–]ZachMoore88 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Afraid not.....though it'll be interesting to see how she reacts when you stop giving her what she wants.....you will, won't you?
I have many times lol. She comes back with a ton of enthusiasm and gets very active in responding. Even helped me find my apt but doing a lot of work to find me places when I move

Well, if she genuinely adds value to your life then she may be worth holding onto.....just don't forget the nature of your relationship.
