Go front of them while standing and pull your dick out , they'll handle the rest for ya.

Them or the police… either way you’ll be met with a response

What I do is walk up to the girl, greet her, then turn to her friends, greet them, handshakes and then I just walk away after talking to the girl. Most of the time the friend group isn't comfortable enough to just keep the flow of the conversation when an outsider comes.
So talk to the group often, try to make them comfortable first, you'll know when would be the right time to sit.

You talk to them the same way you talk to girls that are standing up. With your mouth.
Go out and field test it. Talk to 10 girls sitting down and then come back here with lessons of what you've learned. We can tell you about our experiences but its not going to stick until you actually go out and experience it for yourself.
Good luck and report back here with your lessons.

It depends on your personality type. Im pretty much incapable of approaching with low energy. I dont have the "chill guy" gene in me at all. So id come in standing and then maybe move to sitting with them if that feels welcome and we have something interesting to talk about.

Walk up to her and ask “is it ok if I sit here for now?” And then ask questions from there. Pretend she’s ugly and not beautiful you won’t be so nervous talking to her

If there is an open seat, you could say something like “mind if I sit here for a couple minutes while I tie my shoe”? It could be total BS, but it is an innocent enough reason. The you ask your names, make a joke or two and then leave when appropriate. You should be able to feel out a decent time to exit. Are they asking you questions or no? If it’s early in the night they’ll be talking to you again if you made a good impression.

Ask them if they want to see some cute puppies, they're just over here in my van. Works every time.

Sitting next to them would be too intense, look for signs of interest them glancing etc then approach from straight in with your hands visible.
