The answer is literally in your own post. She doesn’t want to be just a friend who you have sex with. She may want to start as friends and gauge from there. You know, like how most relationships start. That, or she just wants to have a new platonic friend only.

Just meet her in person and gauge how she responds to you. If you’re getting IOIs and there’s heavy flirting and chemistry, then the bit about “friends only” is likely bullshit. If it’s a platonic, fairly boring conversation, with no IOIs, no chemistry, or anything remotely sexual, then her interest is likely platonic.

Well to get a friends with benefits you still have to attract her, and turn her on, not just ask her coldly if she wants sex without commitment… lmfao
You have to turn her on, get her in the mood for sex, flirt, and build yo to it by having sex first and then telling her that you would love to continue seeing her, but only looking for a casual relationship.
In other words, first have sex with her without any expectations, and then you can clarify what you want.
But you cannot ask for casual sex before sex happened first
