Calm down dude lol. She will respond if she wants to. Whether she does or not, you should be ok with either outcome.

we both said we're looking for FWBs
Why would you frame it so narrow, when you haven't even met her? Maybe there is potential for more, or there is not even enough chemistry to get intimate. Framing it so narrow puts such a high pressure on you both. Imho you can hint at the fact that you are interested in something casual, but being that explicit in such a early stage is not an advantage. But maybe I'm old and old-fashioned ...
Is there any course of action besides just waiting until the day of (or day before) the date and asking if we're still on?
You should not ask that. That will seem weak. I'd write a funny message in the evening before the day of the date, that refers to the date. This way you will take the lead instead of allowing her to decide if you are still on. If you ask her, if she will come, you put the thought in her head, that not coming is an option.

I would wait for the day of the date and see if she messages you. If not then send her a message asking if you two are still on for the night. It's something I always do if I make plans before hand with a girl. It's also something girls have messaged me before if we make plans. Once I was super busy with work when a girl messaged me if we were still on. I had completely forgotten and would have accidentally stood her up if she hadn't. Asking if you're still on is normal in the dating world.

I don't like the confirm text. It seems like you don't have confidence she's showing up or that you're not worth showing up for.
This may be a shit test because you said FWB. She may be checking to make sure you're not clingy/stalker type. She may also feel that she'd rather meet before exchanging numbers, if ever.
Personally, I would message an hour or so beforehand with an informational text. "Heading out after an errand, I'll be wearing a green shirt with a handsome face sticking out of it. See you soon." This is not needy, slightly cocky, but also playful. It subcommunicates that you expect her to show up. Importantly, you're not asking for anything. However, if she intends to cancel she'll be inclined to just say it or correct your expectation.
If you did your logistics right, your date spot is close to home and if she bails you're not out much.
Generally when asking for the number I like to just offer mine and go on the assumption that she will give me the number. Depending on the vibe,
"Let's trade numbers for gifs and memes, 5556667777, yours?"
"Let's work logistics out, 5556667777, yours? Just don't get weird/psycho stalker and make me regret it" - I like to use this if the number exchange happens quickly. You call out how she might be feeling and use it on her, which addresses the objection before it happens.

Don't ask a girl for her number say "if you want to get off this app here is my number ********* otherwise we can stay on here"
