No, not really. Not in my experience anyway. Some photos work well other don't. Even if they have high photofeeler rating.
I suspect it's a "good for social media or linkedin" vs "good for dating" issue.

I mean a picture that makes you look good to a friend or an employer, doesn't necessarily make you look good to a lover.

Ah okay. Is there any other way of judging it. I haven’t got on dating apps yet and I have 1 photo that’s hit at 8 and the rest are mainly 7 and 6 on attractiveness in photofeeler. I’m not really sure what to expect when I get on and I don’t want it to kill my self esteem

Just remember that pictures have way more to do with lighting and posing than your actual physical attractiveness. I've had photos which where rated 9.8 in attractiveness, and photos rated at 3. Same guy. Different picture.

No but I had 6 and 7 pics and then finally got a 9.5 pic and it made a huge difference. It seems like girls really respond less to physical appearance than guys do but more to the ‘cues’ in your pics…being in a high class establishment wearing classy clothes. I’m the same old guy but that moved it up a bunch. Start getting a shit ton of good pics now bc you literally can’t have enough good ones.

not like formal, but nice. Like what you’d wear to a white collar work happy hour.
Pics are huge. It impacts your ELO a ton so they determines which girls even see you at all and how early in their queue you’ll appear. You should improve your pics until you are consistently matching with about 1 pts lower than what you can pull in real life in day or night game. You will generally get worse quality online so don’t expect better.

If the picture is 9.8(shredded with low body fat), using tinder boost, you will get 30-50 matches.

The problem here is not using this type of apps, it's more how much energy you are putting on this and if this gonna determinate how you feel. You are trying to value yourself depending on the value that some website puts you.
I would recommend not using this type of apps. They are useless, this apps become a women promotion and seeking attention.
Join to some group of Salsa or Bachata, or some other hobby that makes enjoy. There you will meet girls that have the sema interest.

Dude you are massively overthinking. You are already investing massive energy into trying to protect your ego even before you are out there on a dating app. Put some pics on there start dating, you will have to deal with rejections and failings and get better from them, avoiding them will just hold you back longer, as is not just being on the apps right now. Go and fail and grow.
Bruh when I was on dating apps last time it ruined my mental health. I don’t want to lower my standards just because I am a male. Therefore before I go on I want good pictures.
