I see other men do this and I think it must be the biggest sign of weakness and a turnoff for whoever they’re doing it to. I asked my girlfriend about it and she says she doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with it. I don’t know if she’s saying that because she wants me to hover more or if it’s because she genuinely enjoys the attention or doesn’t recognize when it’s happening.

Either way thank you for posting this because it confirms my own feelings on it.

Pretty ironic tho... You talk about his immaturity but you spend an entire night talking to someone you don't want to talk to. Apparently its HIS responsibility to pick up on subtle social cues that you aren't interested. Apparently it is easier to waste hours of your time and write a long post on reddit than it is to take 30 seconds to tell him to his face you aren't interested.

Hovering, approaching from the back/side, being too loud, all terrible ways to kill attraction/vibe with women.

But also understand that some guys are just downright deaf to social cues (bordering on autistic) and that you'll have to spell it out for them. I understand most women don't like to do this (because they don't want to seem like a bitch/make a dude angry), but it's necessary for some guys. Hopefully this dude would catch the hint if you continually "had to go somewhere" or "didn't have time to talk" every time he approached.

I really don't understand what you're afraid of. Especially if you reject him when all your other friends are around, including strangers. He won't do anything bad. If he's a pussy with 0 courage to ask you for a date, then he doesn't seem like an aggressive dude to me. Just end it, cause he's stupid and didn't get the hint.
