OP you’re 15. That means the girl is also a teenager. You probably didn’t do anything wrong, women are just bipolar while they figure themselves out at that age. I’ve had stuff like this happen to me many times when I was your age. They go hot and cold because they don’t know what they want. Either ignore her or talk to her unpopular friend like the other poster was saying.

Just ignore her and start being sweet to one of her unpopular friends…works every time.

Alright I’ll try this! How do you think I should go by initiating conversation though, this girl has quite a lot of friends and a lot of pretty ones as a matter of fact. Not to mention, I see a lot of them everyday at school but have never actually gone up to any of them.

Talk about school stuff man! You can literally talk about anything: if you or any friends/classmates share a class or a teacher with the girl you're trying to talk to, asking her about it is a safe icebreaker.
Then react to how she responds: the name of the game is to keep the conversation going with open ended questions based on her responses, while inserting how you feel about the topic being talked about, and eventually trying to get her to respond to your questions/statements emotionally (just nothing negatively directed at you), or in ways that either make her open up about important life experiences or things that tell you more about her core beliefs (her morals, her boundaries, her aspirations, etc). I think this is a great way to build on all types of relationships in your life, and not just a potential girlfriend.
With that said, you should be somewhat prepared to respond to those same questions that you plan on getting her to answer, but you don't need to make it complicated starting out, try to start with things that you're genuinely curious about or interested in, just try to keep it where she does most of the talking.

If she likes you, she likes you.

Just going based off what you said, it sounds like she's mad that you didn't make a move and is trying to save face by being an asshole to you. Make a move.
