This is a great quote. RSD Alex has a similar video explaining how "being a wreck" can actually achieve better results, than worrying about being a person of "high value" - micromanaging everything. It's a bit long, but a good watch.

Wow great quote, thanks for posting it, never heard it before but think it's very relevant to how I am. I am very closed off about everything and have a hard time opening up about stuff going on in my life, always worried people will look down on me if everything isn't perfect. But in turn they think I'm pushing them away.. Makes me think anyway.

Me too man. I tend to overthink and over analyze everything in my life which just leads to more anxiety.

So I should tell people I'm 27, unemployed and live with my parents?

I ended up in this situation and still gamed. I'm sorry to tell you that it's hard to keep them though. Stability is high on the attraction meter when it comes to a long term relationship. So my advice is yes, tell them when it comes up, But you don't bring it up. I want a ltr with women, but what kinda women wants a ltr with someone who doesn't seem to have a future right now? Another thing, where do you live? I'll get you a job.

In general "what do you do?" is one of the first questions people ask so it can't really be avoided. Thanks for the offer but I don't have a job because of anxiety issues. Pick up/seduction is the last thing on my mind right now.

I'm not sure if there is actually any truth to this though. It's a nice metaphor, but the natural alphas that I know always project on people that they are perfect. Girls get wowed by it and end up wanting to sleep with them. Very little of the projection is true, but what matters to the girls is how self-absorbed these guys are. It becomes attractive to them, because they know that the guy has high self-esteem and is a go-getter. Thoughts?

I'm not sure I agree. Natural Alphas tend to have a DGAF attitude to how they act and what they say, which actually is exposing them and making them vulnerable. And subconsciously they aren't afraid to do this because of their position of power. It's a subtle kind of "come at me bro" that they know won't be answered.
One thing I've noticed about my own behavior and others who aren't quite alpha is hesitation and restraint in expression precisely because we're concerned with presenting the exact correct image to look as good as we can. This is only natural when you're trying to rise in status and your natural form isn't ideal, but eventually the goal is to have naturally strong actions and the inner confidence to back it up that you don't have to be so guarded and calculated in appearing as good as you can, i.e. perfect.
At least the more confident I have become, the less I care about how I present myself, which means not caring about always saying intelligent things or acting intelligently.

Might these guys be projecting perfection by either ignoring their flaws or trivializing them?
Being confident spite can really get people to ignore bad things.

Doesn't lead to actual relationships though. This quote applies to actual personal relationships
