I'm guessing it's pretty easy to get girls with a big instagram following
For sure.
One problem: becoming IG famous isn't as easy as it sounds. Not at all.
Tons of guys (tens of thousands?) are trying to do this because of how lucrative it can be -- and not just for pussy. You can make a lot of money on IG.
That being said, it's not like you shouldn't try. Just don't expect it to work -- at all.

How are they making money?

A lot of it is through deals with brands in the same way brands pay to be put in movies.

Through affiliate sales, mostly.

Whats up brotha. I used to be instagram famous ( I have pictures for proof if you need it ) and honestly it helps with shallow insecure girls. It gets boring as fuck when you deal with girls that only care about the virtual world. I had a picture of me with almost 90k likes. I used to walk around the mall and girls would come up to me and shit. It was ridiculous. It did help me once or twice. I went to a modeling gig and on my way out there was a shoot going on for adidas and one of the girls getting her makeup done noticed me and said I look familiar. We exchanged numbers, and were fuck buddies for a few weeks- but she wasn't shallow surprisingly. I just decided to end it because our lifestyles were incompatible. I have school to worry about (4.0 GPA to maintain) and she was busy traveling and running around.
So yes it does help... but its not what you want, believe me.
Edit: Also it helps with connects. Was invited to a shit ton of parties and events in NYC. Met some interesting people.

Sounds good to me...if I can get an extra few girls a year it will be well worth it.
How did you get so famous?

Someone took two pictures of me (before puberty and after) and then put them side by side. I was in Zara at about 9pm in Long Island. The casher flips out when I go up to the register and she's like " YOU'RE TRENDING ON INSTAGRAM YOU'RE ALL OVER" and as it turns out a shit ton of people were posting up my pictures? It was weird. One of them that had 1million followers, their instagram was Oktweet, blocked me after putting up my picture? LOL. It was very weird.

Does anyone have an ultra-popular instagram, and does this help greatly with getting girls?
I think so. I read this earlier somewhere:
guys with tons of followers (10k+) have hundreds of girls liking their photos, leaving comments with hearts and their phone numbers.
So I guess it does.
But seriously, if you try to do this, what's the worst that can happen?

YouTube also works even having like 10k subscribers gets you some luck. But they never last if that's what your lookin for.
