All this really hits close to home. I got too invested in this sweet girl I started seeing casually (I'm friends with her brother), and I was pretty sure I had chances if I asked her out because of a good vibe going on between us yet I couldn't do anything.
Now she went for vacations to Brazil and the thought of her sleeping around with random Joãos is killing me. I thought oneitis was something from the past and that I had learned my lesson, fuck me.

Last time I went out (yesterday), I can clearly remember a couple of times a girl was showing interest and I failed to escalate. Thinking back over the course of the last several weeks, I can probably identify like 6-8 times this happened. Also other opportunities where a girl showed interest, I went to talk to my friends or something thinking "I'll go back to her later", but totally lost track of her.
I don't feel like a "little bitch" though, because both last night and over the past several weeks I have approached a lot of girls, escalated with some of them, gotten some numbers, and gotten laid a couple times. When you're talking to a lot of girls and escalating with a lot of girls, one "missed opportunity" doesn't feel like a big deal anymore. You're also less likely to miss an opportunity because you'll feel more at ease and care less about how the girl reacts.
The issue here isn't that you missed your chance- It's that you're so hung up on this one girl. You should be meeting more girls and escalating with more girls, and not worrying so much about how things go with this one specific girl.
