I think your friends are right. Making her late because you want to drop some lines on her isn’t exactly endearing.

It makes logical sense anyways, but you have to view you giving her your time as a gift to her (not arrogantly anyways). View it as if you are making her day 1000x better by showing curiosity in her wanting figure things out about her. It would annoy her if she thought you were attractive and you didn't take action when she wants you to (always have that mindset, which it seems like you do for the most part). Worst case scenario you become more bold and make her day better even IF you get rejected. Best of luck man.

Note: on the actual stop just walk in front of her with a friendly smile with your hand slightly raised as if your body language is telling her to stop and say "hey I know this is super random, but I wanted to say "insert unique compliment here"" and then go from there

Try to wait for her in school not outside the parking lot, try to post your self so she can at least see you routinely, then drop in the Hi, I see you walk here often I just wanted to say Hi, what's your name? my is blah with a smile at the end. I think this is very basic and non pick up, it's simply how people meet and that's what you are trying to do. Nothing wrong with introducing yourself, after that just act normal like you would with your everyday friends, don't act weird, get out of your head. I am actually in a similar situation but she's not in school and I plan to ask for her name and introduce my self just because I see her often and I'm sure she has notice me often too but we don't know each other.

Hey man listen. I go to college and I talk to random girls all the time. This is what you should do: go straight up to her and ask her where she’s going, if she’s going to class then tell her that you will follow and that you want to ask her a couple questions for a class or project. FIRST question to ask her is, what’s your biggest fear? This gets the girl thinking , if she’s having a hard time thinking of an answer then you can tell her your biggest fear. Try to see if you can continue the conversation based off her answer. THIS IS THE ICE BREAKER. Now that you’ve guys talk a little, start asking for her name, what she’s studying etc. to keep the convo going . If she’s interested in you she might ask you some questions back. If she doesn’t, try to ask her other questions like what’s her hobbies, clubs. Girls love talking about themselves, remember that.

If you reach the end and arrive to her class this is where you can ask her for her number/Snapchat. A good example would be “you know you’re a really cool person to talk to, how about we go get coffee sometime and chat more, it’s on me.” This line is perfect. You make her feel awesome by saying she’s a cool person (wouldn’t you feel awesome if someone said you’re a cool person to talk to?). And second you’re offering free coffee to her. Girls love coffee (especially if it’s gonna be free from Starbucks lol).

Hopefully this helps, remember if she’s really attractive, you bet your ass guys come up to her and ask for her number. You have to approach her differently.
