I’m all about getting different opinions from different subreddits. So here it goes Hello, all I don’t know if this is the right sub to be posting this but here it goes. I’m currently a sophomore in college and I have been really enjoying it so far. I have friends, I’m social, I really have a path in mind for what I want to do, in fact I’ve outlined where I want to be and how to get there and have been confident in how to get there. I’m actively involved in academic clubs, and have a good standing as to where I want to be in general, working hard to where I need to be and just in general enjoy life right now and couldn’t be more happy with where I am. I truly have a passion for what im studying in college. I improve myself everyday, am always in the gym and feel healthy, I like to produce music as a side hobby, and genuinely love myself. (Not in an arrogant way).

Out of my entire friend group I am the only virgin, but it’s by choice and I want to ask, what am I missing out on hookup culture? All my friends have “bodies” and are into it and I just have never cared for it. I do talk to girls and have never had a hard time with it, it’s just every girl I have talked to I have never had the intentions of hooking up with or never felt like it. When I would go out with my friends to parties their sole purpose was to get laid and I just wanted to have a good time. I am kind of selective on the type of girl I want to give it up to and I want it to be a special moment and not remember my first time to be a drunk hookup in college. On top of this, I have never felt like getting into a relationship thus far because it just genuinely liked the Independence I have and flexibility to do what I want and learned to vibe alone and not need anyone.

Is this normal? Is this okay? Am I missing out on something here? Is my mindset bad?

I am 20 yo and I’ve never felt bad or insecure about being a kissless virgin because I’ve been so focused on myself lately. Haha you could call it me being a bit selfish but I don’t want anything to do with a relationship right now because of it.

I also just feel like I don’t want to deal with that sort of stuff until I complete my own career goals.
