Are there any guys out there who have managed to learn the PUA material and apply it well whilst dealing with depression?

I have terrible approach anxiety and when I'm out in bars I always wish I was back home, so I usually end up getting hammered drunk. Ironically when I'm at home I wish I was out in a bar.

My last two semi relationships with a girl (couple of months each) have both gone the same way:

    1. Flirt a little, act a little cocky/funny. Pretend to be confident. They seem to get interested.
    1. Couple of dates go ok.
    1. They start to realise I'm not all that I'm cracked up to be because my depression creeps in, i.e. I'm tired, not in the mood, somewhat depressed. Generally they find out I'm not the fun loving potential boyfriend they thought I was.

Even when my mood is low I try to put on a brave face and 'fake it' but a full night of that in a one to one relationship is tiresome and difficult.

I know some guys will offer advice on depression, I've read countless books and feel like I'm an expert on the subject. My question here is - are there any members on seddit who are depressed and been able to deal with it and still be successful at being a PUA. If so do you have any advice? Or do you feel that depression is an underlying problem that should be dealt with first?
