Developing a friends with benefits relationship

For you guys who are successful at creating a friends with benefits relationships. Tell me, how did you develop it. And how do you keep it going.

I had friend with benefits situation but it fell in my lap. It was her idea. I was blue pill then and when she put her foot down and demanded a relationship, I caved. Again, at the time, I was blue pill.
