So last night I was on a call with my gf. We've been talking since late December and we've become official two weeks ago. The call was mostly normal: future plans, teasing from both parties, gossip, flirting, etc. I do admit I might have went too far with one joke and actually hurt her feelings. I apologized when this happened. Later on she showed me a horrible reaggeton song she found funny because of how horrible it was. After a little more chitchat she started asking me to sing it. I didn't feel like it, so I told her no. She kept insisting, repeating "sing, sing, sing..." Over and over again. I kept pretending not to hear her and talking about other subjects. She kept this up for like 20 minutes. After I made it clear that I wasn't gonna sing, that she was being weird and that she had to learn to take "no" for an answer she stopped but became comically dry. For the last 10 minutes of the call she would only give one word answers to anything I said. This was unsustainable so we ran out of things to say and we hung up. This time I didn't tell her I love you like I usually do.

This morning I wake up and I see and apology text from her saying she was sorry about how she spoke to me yesterday. I responded saying she was forgiven.

This seems pretty insignificant but I'm still kinda new to this. I know women wish they had a guy they can control but they don't realize they would lose respect for him if they could control him. I see I lot of advice saying men should hold their ground and stuff but very few real world examples. All thoughts are welcome.
