Hey seddit, I'm only about a month into pick up and It's going pretty well but I'm still kind of confused on the two types of openers and how they are defined.

Okay so I think I have an idea of what the difference between a direct and indirect approach is but I'm still a little confused on the two.

I know that direct approach is when you would go up and say something like "hey you seem cool, I just wanted to come over and talk to you"

And I know that an indirect approach would be like asking for an opinion, directions, or a situational opener.

But arnt you supposed to be direct in your intentions at all times? So wouldn't an indirect opener be a bad way to open because it is not showing that you are confident? Direct openers seem like a good thing, but I've also been reading and people say don't go up and complement a girl because she will shut you donlwn because attractive girls get hit on/complimented every day.

Also there seems to be some conflicting opinions on what is classified as a direct opener. Apparently, a lot of people don't think "hey, what's your name?" Is a direct opener, but how could it not be? You are going up to a girl out of the blue and hitting on her. Is there like a flow chart for this anywhere lol

Thanks for all the help guys
