So I've seen a lot of posts where people suggests bars and clubs to try and meet/pick up people. While clubs I can get as the alcohol combined with the dancing makes it easier to "accidentally" bump into someone to start a conversation. But I don't see that really happening at bars (at least the ones I've been to)

Almost every bar I've gone to, it's more of a chilled sit down area where you and a group of friends (or in my case me alone cause I'm weird and I prefer a night out by myself every so often) are just having a good night together and not getting drunk.

So how do you pick up someone if they're obviously just out to have a good night with their friends and not come off as an intrusive ass?
