Today the attendant that helped me at the DMV was my age and attractive. However her supervisor was standing right over her shoulder paying attention to her tablet. I realized that while the customer I could flirt with her and it wouldn't really be rude, however if she were to reciprocate it would or could be unprofessional. Had I told her she was cute and asked for her number I felt she would have been in trouble for giving it out. I ended up thinking the only thing I could do would be to flirt within what bounds I could and then try and find her on social media later.

But then that just sounds kind of creepy. "Hey remember me from work today, wanna go out sometime?" as a FaceBook message. And yet there isnt really anything else that could be done huh? Best to just let that one slip away I suppose.

What is your take on situations like these were the ethics of a job are on the table?
