It’s a slow process for me tô open up, and I like that. By the time I’m comfortable to share deep emotions, I’m invested, and in my opinion this is how it should be, not flooding the person with emotions when you barely know them, then you’re just ranting.

Setting boundaries is different though, and for me it’s basically a knee jerk reaction that when I see a person that I’m getting to know doing something I don’t like, I call them out.

So, a lot of people are really conditioned to not let certain things out. Depending on where you from and the culture around you, what that is can differ. And tbh, opening up is scary. There is no guarantee you won't be judged. In my personal experience, test the waters with things that are low risk and see how people react. People who reassure or accept those small things will likely be more accepting on a higher level. People who make it a habit to put down or make fun of others for their vulnerability are probably not the best to open up to.

I'm lucky to have a group of friends than I can talk very openly with about anything including feelings.

I also express my feelings through my songs and put them out there for the world to see but I guess that's a different story. Vulberability to me is freedom.

Depends. Im bad at expressing feelings, or generall interest in groups. Especially if I know Ill be seeing people there for a while. Makes the whole "fall in love with a friend" situation difficult. But I have gotten really good at doing it when were alone, or with people I meet through cold approach or distant social circles

No. I was raised to shut up about it, keep them quiet, told to not talk so much, seen & not heard, suppressed & then told I was just plain wrong & I would be very lonely. I was taught to withdraw your love when you don’t get your own way & to hold grudges.
