Read the book "Models" by Mark Manson.

I'll give a brief explanation; in the book he explains this in the beginning:

High status is what gets you a girlfriend. This status might be being well-educated, funny or having a bright future; or eveything nice in general.

Physical assertiveness is what you need to get sex. Being a very fit guy with 6-pack isn't a must - it'd be nice and get things easier but it is not an obligation. You have to know how to be physically assertive. Learn about movement, kino etc learn how to behave.

Not bragging, but more just something to hopefully motivate.

A year ago, I was a 17 year old, weighing 100kgs. Began to lose weight and within 2 months, I hit around 83kgs. This was during holidays, so I was out and about and managed to chase a few numbers. Didn't go past that. Went into college/university, and scored a few numbers again, but my course workload is insane/I live 2 hours away from my campus, which sort of blocked and limited my social presence on campus (always hang out with friends from high school in my area still). Anyhow, I put the somewhat success onto the confidence I gained from losing weight. Over the year, I've reached the 100kg mark again which is disappointing. Have lacked dates, or chasing girls, because I just don't feel at my potential. From here for me, its back to the gym, and try be the best I can be physically, because its something I value. Its shallow that I lack self confidence with weight, but its just something as I said, I personally value, and feel that when right, will allow me to be confident.

Keep up your weight loss journey. For me, whenever I've lost weight, I've been happier, and just more confidence, and a giver of little fucks. Good luck mate!

Are you sure that those "Other Guys" have the 6-pack only? May be they have some other personality traits that are attractive. You should study those guys.

Can you create a deep connection.?

Do you give the girls any sexual ideas.?

Do you touch the girls.?

Add a sexual joke or two to turn on the girls.

If you can get them to laugh, then next step is you need comfort. You create comfort by sharing stories, kino and mirroring Body language.

Maybe the girls it worked with... you automatically mirror each other Body language.?

Next time you get a girl to laugh, copy how her legs stand... It is subtle and nobody see it. But the girl subconscious will feel more comfort with you.

You're sort of asking, what else can i do, besides get in shape, to up my success rate with women? And to be honest it's hard for me to think of something at the moment, as your post gives off this sense of confidence, entitlement, and general pickup skills. I'd just focus on that diet and exercise.

It could also just be the age range of the women you're talking to.

Women like to men that gives them bragging rights. Do you enhance their social value? Your description of yourself sounds like the standard things that women are culturally conditioned to say. Make you sure find ways to set yourself apart.

You can't be everything to everyone.

I can attest to this as well. I am currently 100Kg on the dot. I was over 136Kg Last year. When I was that weight every chick just ignored me. Most would not take the time of day. At this weight I am doing better (spend more one on one time with chicks) and got laid once. However, I still am struggling and constantly losing to better looking more boring dudes. I will entertain them and at the end of the night they usually go home with the more boring better looking dude(Usually just sat there with thier beer and sipped it). I have lost time and time again, so no one can tell me pysical attrativness does not make a differnce. Women just naturally more flirtatious with you at a lower weight then at a higher weight. More open for sexual relationship.

I hope to get down to 85Kg some day, but I have been frustratly platued at 100 for about 3 months now, even though I have been putting in the diet and work out. :(
