Why do you care about this ? There will always be girls that don't like being approached, and then they will complain about not being approached and how noone finds them attractive. This is the way women think...

Girl here and I like being approached, even if I'm not attracted to the guy. I know it takes guts and I appreciate the effort, plus it's a compliment to me.

You'll always find girls who are receptive or who aren't. Same thing whether it's day game or night game. I'd only suggest picking appropriate "targets". If a woman is wearing headphones, maybe don't disturb her. If you're at the gym, etc.

Otherwise if she looms receptive to being approached, go for it. Worse case scenario she turns you down. If she gets all pissy and annoyed, that reflects on her. No reason to get so angry if someone simply talks to you (assuming you're not being overly agressive).

Approach women in bars, clubs, meet ups, events, group activities, etc. Just don't do it at funerals or on subways man. If they turn you down, move on, don't corner them and don't keep pushing.

First, as vulgrrr stated, selection bias is in full effect on that AskReddit thread. People who don't feel concerned by the topic won't reply, which takes a huge chunk out of what we would consider an objective sample. People who have had issues/awful experiences will be the most vocal and vehement, and there aren't just about a dozen of those on this planet. This will make it all sound like a widespread issue if you don't take into account the proportion of people who never had to deal with such issues.

Furthermore, each individual is unique, with his/her unique life context. However, that's not taken into account. If you strip the "right data" out of your potential sample, you can make it say whatever you want to fit one's agenda.

Have you noticed how negative comments and stories, regardless of the topic at hand, far outweight the good ones, not only on the internet, but in the media as well? People will mostly speak out when outraged, so of course the thread appears to display an awful problematic, when in fact it showcases the bad experiences specific people had to go through.

Not taking anything away from these bad experiences, but given how we tend to communicate as a species, we'll always hear more bad than good, even in cases when actual good experiences outweights the bad ones. That's why a single bad review on a product can potentially cause a whole lot of damage to that product's sales.
