Hey guys, This is my 3rd update, about the scene going on in Portland. Had another date from Tinder. About me: 5 foot 5/ Strong built/ 23 yrs old/ well trimed beard/ no limiting beliefs. About her: 5 foot 9/ skinny. So we matched on Tinder late at night. I talked about what was on her bio something about poke stick and dumb tattoos. Quickly transitioned to text, asked for her number which she gave to me saying as long as I dont murder her. Thought it wouldnt be best if I teased her about it so, ignored that comment. Also just before we meet she texts that shes tall and I shouldnt be afraid, Im reply with afraid of what? Kind of ends with that there Kept texting till 1am built some comfort and asked her out. We both have a meal plan on campus so meet there for dinner. Location 1: Met her inside the dining hall, she was reading some book, showed interest in that( I have no idea what it was about though), we keep talking and were sitting across the table so no scope for kino yet. Go for second servings and more eye contact and talking. She probably had some insecurity issues because she had problems maintaing eye contact in the beginning. After this we decided to smoke and since you cant smoke any where near the campus buildings we walked together to some isolated street corner and sat on the sidewalk under a street lamp.

Location2: Applied the tactic of location change and were smoking fags under a street lamp. So we're sitting side by side and talking. This is when I started more comfort building, made her talk a lot about herself. I was surprised that in like 10-15 minutes she was talking about she was never a cool kid in her life and that she had some anxiety issues. First time on tinder for the experience etc. Also that she had a hard time making friends. So i naturally eased into the kino with hi5's and some light touching on the arm very natural and non awkward. It got cold so I put my arm around her shoulder and she kind of also cuddled towards me, we started talking slowly in whispers. Then I dont remember exactly but I told her something she got excited about and broke the cuddle to talk about it. Then naturally again after a bit we get into the same pose, she starts to tell me about her childhood, first car etc and in a shy kind of laugh mentions that she doesnt now why she's telling all this stuff. Good going for me I guess. Now she rests her head on my shoulder and I play with her hair. Conversation again really hushed and her elbow is kind on my thigh for support. Good going again. I show her some videos of a car that I made and bollywood songs, then I play "Closer" by chainsmokers to kind of get an anchor effect so that when she hears the song it reminds her of me. So its getting even colder and she has to head back to her dorm. First she says that I dont have to walk her there and Im like ok, then when we do get up and Im like I will walk you there, she goes in a shy kind of way that would actually be nice. We walk to her dorm and act like a playful couple, I tease her a bit about loosing her phone and stuff(she kinda lost her phone on the street where we were sitting). We discuss the things we have to send each other on text, song links and the like. I say goodbye hug her and give her a little kiss on the cheek. She says, lets meet again, im like sure thing.

5 minutes after I leave I get a text from her get back safely. This is solid I think I text back that Im almost here. I tease her whether she found her way back to her room, shes like I admit I took a wrong turn. She says she has to shower and take her contact lenses out and sleep, Im like yeah do that and since we had been texting a lot the last night that she should probably get a good sleep today. No reply.

Next afternoon, I send a text teasing her If shed lost her phone or her contact lenses again. Couple hours later a text saying that she forgot both in her dorm when she went out. I text that "I knew it, what are you upto?" No reply. Fast forward next afternoon, I text "Meetup smokes, after lunch, 2pm" No replies.

Well that was obviously my last text. The funny part is I got anchored to that song and its taking me a while to get out of this feeling of desperation. I have no clue what went wrong here, I played a solid uptight game, although im new to the US so what am I missing guys?
