Here is a field report of my friend whom I'm being a wingman.

So, in the shorter version of the story Alex approached the girl indirectly by showing interest in her sister first, and then the girl eventually got involved. Initially, Alex was a bit reserved, not talking much and keeping his distance. When the girl tried to get him to open up by asking personal questions, he was quite reserved in his responses. The girl, on the other hand, displayed signs of interest like sexual arousal, jealousy, and physical touch. They spent a lot of time together, and things seemed to be going well until Alex officially asked her out, and she subtly turned him down.

Now Alex is giving her the cold shoulder. He didn't see her for 3 months straight. She tried to talk over texts, but Alex deliberately kept them dry. One day, Alex gave her a good 2 hours of happiness by talking to her like they used to, then went straight cold again. Today, she met us in college. She said hello, and Alex replied with 'hi' without even looking at her. Alex asked her how she is doing very politely but without making eye contact. I don't know what was going on in Alex's mind at that time? Like he asked her how she was, but he didn't even stop walking for a second nor did he even look at her.

Is alex doing the right thing?? What should be our future course of action.
