Known this girl for a few months in which we hang out with our mutual friends together. Assumed attraction thinking she was into me, so I brought up the idea of taking her out hiking which she's been wanting to do. Since we usually hang with a group of friends she assumed other people coming along but I ensured it would be just us two. From her replies she felt a bit hesitant thinking it would be odd since she doesn't usually go one-on-one with guys. Said she'd go if at least one mutual friend comes which I agreed to. Then a day after she asked if she could invite her "crush" (co-worker) asking me if it would be weird (note this is happening through text). I faced palmed myself so hard believing this is the end seeing this going down hill and assuming I've been friend zoned. Should I bail out on the plans. I feel like giving up on her. This was my first time attempting to ask a girl out on a date which I do feel proud of but I feel I made alot of mistakes: same group of friends, letting someone tag along, assuming attraction (misread?) and then some. Anyone else went through something similar? Thoughts and advice would be great for future experience.
