In general I've found that simply scheduling everything has really helped me have more time for more things.

I noticed what was making the difference on days when I just let loose and not schedule anything. On those days when I felt like just taking a break and doing whatever I feel like, the day usually ends with me not being satisfied with the fun or relaxing things I've done or even completely missing out on what I wanted to do.

Then I realized what was happening. On days when I do schedule things there's no lag where I deliberate and procrastinate (which usually results in me losing a few hours just aimlessly browsing social media before I've made a decision on what to do). Since everything is already planned out I just go straight through everything I wanna do in quick succession, there's barely any down time that I spend doing useless shit.

By the way, when I say "schedule everything" I'm not only referring to things like work tasks or chores, I mean literally everything including fun stuff like doing your hobby, watching shows, hanging out with friends, going on dates, etc.

In being loose with your schedule I've found that there's a lot of wasted time where you're not really doing the most meaningful things. For example with work you might find yourself organizing your desk instead of doing the thing that has the largest impact on your bottom line or for your hobby you might find yourself browsing posts about it or reading through a subreddit of it or posting pictures about it instead of actually doing it.

But when you know that you only have a certain amount of time for whatever activity you'll want to fill that time doing the most significant parts of that activity. Ironically I've found that I can get more done when I only give myself a limited amount of time.

And its not like the "accessory stuff" like cleaning or posting on social media gets thrown by the wayside, you can always schedule in a time for accessory stuff too. And I think that's one of the most important things to schedule because if you don't place a time limit on those things you can really burn through a whole lot of hours doing a whole lot of nothing.

Try it. Try coming up with a schedule where you can do both your work and dating life justice.

Don't worry if it isn't right the first time, you can always adjust things as you go until everything feels just right.

And don't schedule things with the goal of making yourself feel like you've worked hard, just because the word "schedule" is something you've heard a lot in school or the office doesn't mean you should bore the hell out of yourself or go through an 8 hour grind before you can do something fun.

I'm actually able to do my hobbies more on workdays when everything's scheduled out than on weekends when I don't have anything planned until the evening.

As for dating, I schedule stuff with my girlfriend and when I was single I used to schedule when I'd message all the girls I was talking to. It felt less cumbersome to have nothing else to do but message girls for a couple hours instead of having my attention divided by messaging them throughout the day when I could be in the middle of something.

And if my replies come quick during that allotted time it doesn't make me look needy because if they messaged me at the wrong time it might take me half a day to respond and when they become used to messaging me they might even realize that they can only talk to me on my schedule.

Girls used to ask me, "When do you wake up??" because they message me in the morning but not get a reply until around midday.

In recent years before I got into a relationship I didn't need to schedule dates because I no longer do traditional dates, what I do is just whenever me and my friends have something planned I invite along all the girls I'm talking to so I can hang out with them all at the same time. Its much less time consuming than having to see them individually.

Ages ago when I did traditional dates the days I set aside for dates used to be Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon to night. That way I had space for seeing friends or meeting new girls on Friday night and some daygame plus fun relaxing stuff I wanted to do on Saturday.

If you're not that good at meeting girls yet you should definitely schedule in a regular time to be approaching too.

Try it out, and since you're the one making your own schedule don't make it tedious, make it fun.
