I also used to suffer/sometimes still do suffer with fear of sex like you, so don’t feel alone. I was so afraid I went years without having sex in my late teens and early 20s.

It’s gotten a lot better over the last few years as I practiced my hook ups just like you’re planning on doing. It works great and definitely helps a lot. You’ll probably get with some women that aren’t top tier but it’ll help you get over your fears and allow you to move up.

It’s definitely not cruel or rude just don’t lead anyone on emotionally. You’ll find that a lot of girls will surprise you, be really great at sex, and can offer you a lot.

My advice: just find someone that is down for a casual sexual relationship and practice having sex at least once a week. The most important time to do it is when you’re most afraid. Also don’t watch porn.

Whats your fear? You gotta look and dig deeper than just “making a move scares me” bro. Is it fear of rejection? Gotta ask yourself this and really think then fix that root problem. This works for anything. Is it that you might think she might you’re weird? So then you’re caring too much what other people think. Gotta figure it out then be smooth

That seems cruel to hook up with someone under false pretenses. The stakes also won't be the same when you actually like someone. Just do therapy or work on your confidence in another way instead.

I appreciate your candour. I share your history of sexual trauma, which has made intimate relationship difficult. Talk therapy doesn't seem to get to the root as trauma is wired in the body/nervous system Only positive experience of. sexuality can undo that. I have found benefit from various forms of bodywork, especially tantric massage, Im not talking rub and tug, but finding someone who is trauma informed and can help you embrace you sexuality in a safe and supportive container
