So, I started this whole process last year around this same time, and last summer was a lot of fun. I met a lot of cool girls, opened myself up and made some good friends/wings.

Then around August, I started calling one girl who I had met more often and had her come around every other weekend. At the time, I was getting burnt out from going out 3x a week, and going through the same motions. I'm pretty sure I hit a plateau and I was getting frustrated.

Well, that casual encounter with that one girl (I actually was seeing 3 girls regularly so I didn't go out as much) ended up turning into my excuse. My thought process was why bother going out, when I can just call this girl and stay in with definite results. So I did, for a few months, and it was great. I was having sex on a regular basis, and just coasting.

At some point, I realized I didn't feel fulfilled with just that so I started focusing on my career. And I still am, but at this point I wasn't going out anymore. This is where the girls I was seeing was beneficial, since I rarely went out at all.

Needless to say, I realized that I had been relying too heavily on her company without taking into consideration that I was drifting into relationship mode slowly. We talked, I broke it off, and I was back at square one.

I lost some of my good habits, like eating right, working out, and doing some other things that made me happy. So over the last few weeks I started to do those things again. Then, I texted one of my wings from last summer and we went out. My first time out in 5 months or so.

There I was, trying to remember what it felt like to just walk up and open. I was in my head, until a few moments later my friend calls me over into his set that he opened. I started to wing him, but the girl I was talking to was rude and bitchy. Now, considering this is my first set in a while, it was like someone throwing ice water on me, but after 3-4 seconds of me being a chode, I snapped out of it and it all started flowing out of me again. I didn't hook her, but I stood my ground and asked her if she was always this rude. Her friend apologized for her, and I just laughed it off and we ejected.

Since the first one was so bad, every other interaction went smoother because nothing was going to be as bad as the first one. I had some good conversations with a few girls, made several mistakes but quickly remembered how to handle myself in those situations. It all came back to me slowly, with every new interaction.

Then, the last girl I opened started similar to the first. She was rude and not receptive. But by then, I was already in a good mood. So I didn't react, and called her out on a few things. And, after about 2 minutes we started making out.

I'm not here to brag or anything, but to say that what I learned last year has really become intuitive and internalized. I may have been rusty, but I started to remember how to talk and what to say (even if I had nothing to say).

I'm back, and I'm going to start with a new philosophy. I'm going to attempt to get rejected once a day. I'm not going to try anything crazy, but I just want a rejection every day. That way, I can move past the fear of talking to really hot girls, if I make it something that means nothing, I may end up getting some surprising results (which did happen to me last summer).
