Recently turned 18 and went clubbing for the first time here in the UK, one of those clubs where the demographic are people of similar age. That being said I decided to make the most of my drunk self and approach so it doesn't become something I regret. Found out I have next to no game.

I have been one of those lurkers of this subreddit, watched RSD videos etc. for a while but never actually took action thinking "I am not ready." So yesterday was a first for me, actually going up to someone and approaching them. About 20 minuites into entering the club, I was already very drunk but my confidence from the start of the night dropped, almost intimidated by the new environments. I warmed up taking to my mates and later approached a girl by the bar. She was on her own and ordering a drink. She was actually very friendly, but the moment I starting talking a spike of negative thoughts rushed through where I had no self confidence in myself - my first mistake of the night I'd say. I exchanged a lot of flat line talk and no emotional spikes which made it sound more like an interview than a guy trying to attract the opposite sex. She later left saying she needs to go to her friends and she did after giving me a hug. To be honest, at that point, I was just happy I approached someone. I think from then onwards my confidence just kept falling so I was pretty intimidated to try again with someone else.

I convinced myself, shit if things ain't going well with the girls, the last thing I want is to get depressed at what happened so I spent most of the night with my mates just dancing and smiling.

I was telling my mate about my approach and he insisted I go approach someone else, which I doubt I would have done if he didn't force me to but glad he did. This time a 3 girls in a group was there and my mate pushed me forward to talk to one of them. Me and my tarnished confidence thought the best thing to say was hey what's your name, to which she replied with I have a boyfriend sorry with her friends giggling. Ah fair enough, so I walked to my mate and we both laughed it off. Mixed feelings at this point. I was in a state of positivity but some part of me was fairly upset at how little confidence I had - most likely from the pressure I put on myself at the start of the night saying "pulling" is easy.

At this point I knew, there's no chance my drunk ass is going to approach another girl so I spent the rest of the night enjoying myself dancing with my mates and smiling.

I'm in a mix of emotions from last night. I'm very glad I approached not once but twice getting out my comfort zone but subconsciously I am a little upset about the outcome - probably the pressure I put on myself. I approached but my next goal is to actually maintain a conversation which sparks sexual tension but I'm not sure how I am going to manage with my confidence and reminding myself next time I end up in a similar position.

Sorry about the long read, I just needed to get something off my chest. Any help will be amazing
