I'm very new to the scene but have been reading and watching for a while now and have courage more than I did when I was younger.

I'm 33, fairly attractive, and a good slim toned body. Was at a local McDonalds next to a university and dropped in for coffee in the AM.

Normally would have taken the coffee and left, but spotted a girl maybe in her early 20s on her Mac looking like she may have been doing some work. She had a deck of cards she'd shuffle every now and then.

She was getting lots of looks from men but mostly old fat guys. I sat across from her on a table and drank my coffee while on my phone for a good hour.

She gave me lots of glances and we made eye contact several times. The last time we made eye contact, she smiled as did I. Constantly was playing with her hair, adjusting herself to seem more attractive, and had her feet extended towards me. Overall it seemed she was interested in a conversation.

After the place got crowded, I got up to ask her if she was playing a card game with someone and she said nah she was just shuffling. She sounded very nervous in her response. I then mentioned I was down to play a game if she was interested and she responded she didn't really know any games.

At that very minute a girl slipped next to her in the booth. Maybe she was waiting for her friend this whole time?

I didn't wanna be a bother so I just said No problem have a good day, smiled and left.

Did I mess up? Should have I suggested I teach her a game? I certainly didn't wanna be pushy and act like a creep, especially given her friend just showed up, but can't help but feel like I missed an opportunity. She was giving all the signs of intent and was clearly shy/anxious when I spoke with her, but her "I don't really know any games" sounded like a rejection to me but maybe it was an opener.

Tips/advice on how I could have done better! Maybe not waited an hour until it was too late?
