did about a dozen approaches today. some went okay, some went great, and some went not so hot. approached a girl in the park and chatted with her. spent about 15 minutes on this one, ultimately she was not receptive to a meet. could have cut this one short but i wanted to stay in and build more rapport. approached some street sets, half of them were not as receptive, the other half i got good reactions. i went to a small mall nearby and opened some sets in there. saw a few hotties and opened them, they weren't receptive and couldn't get a convo in. left the mall and went back to the street. as soon as i left i saw a decent girl walking down the street, decided why not. opened her by commenting on her dress. we walked and chatted a handful of blocks. talked about art history, and her hobbies. turns out she was going to the subway. we kept chatting until we got there. i asked if she wanted to meet up again, she was hesistant which is better than an outright no. i decided to make it easier for her and took her number. she gave it to me and said that it was bold of me to approach her. i felt i could have insta-dated since she was just going to subway but i'll be honest insta-dates are not really my expertise.

i left that set, went back to the streets. approached a few more girls, got some rejections such as girls only saying hi and then walking off, or girls ignoring me. saw an asian hottie walk past me on the street, i turn around and get ready to approach her. i stalled a bit because i wasn't sure what direction she was walking towards. stalled for quite some time, basically until she went into a store which is when i knew i had to just open already. i entered right behind her and immediately opened. asked her for clothing recommendation and said she seemed like the type of girl i should ask. we started chatting, i teased her a bit about her name. had some biography conversation. i wasn't able to express myself all too much since this was right at the entrance to this store and it was kind of quiet, we both were just standing there talking. eventually i led into talking about all the different bars in the city. got her preferences on drinks and then transitioned into suggesting we meet up for drinks. i didn't get a definite answer from her but she didn't outright say no or try to excuse herself so that was good. seems like she had plans this week but i still went for the number, she gave it to me.

i'll be texting the numbers soon and see if they're responsive, will go out tmrw to collect more leads as well
