I go to the gym six days a week. I started lifting weights about four years ago when I became very subconscious of my weight or lack there of. When I begin lifting I weighed 115 pounds, four years later I grew an inch to 6 foot and weigh anywhere from 178-182. That's not the point of this post, just the back story on why I lift six days a week. Going to the gym has become part of my lifestyle. I need it to be the first thing I do in the day before I can function.

As a result, I know everyone who works at the gym I've been going to. I notice new employees immediately. One new employee that I noticed about a month ago is a blonde HB 8. I saw her looking at me when I would catch a glance at her. Trying to be the alpha that I am I would keep my gaze, smile, or raise an eyebrow but I never talked to her. I don't approach women in the gym that are working out. But wait, she is working at the gym... I finally mustered the courage and talked to her when she was working the entrance.

I opened with, "so you are new working her." She responded brilliantly, "it took you four weeks." Perplexed, I reply eloquently, "...what?" Her response, "I was wondering if you were ever going to talk to me."

I'm kind in shock but we continue the conversation as she scans peoples ID's entering the gym. Anyway, to not drag this on any longer, we are going to run together Thursday morning. I hope I can keep up. I may look fit but I've skimped on cardio since I've always been trying to gain weight till now.

The lesson learned, if you make eye contact with a woman and she responds in some fashion that puts a tingle down your spine, open her. Make conversation and see where it goes. It only took me a month but I'm glad I finally did.
