I met this girl at a party and could tell she was attracted to me. I initiate conversation and everything is going well. Before she leaves the party I acquire her number and plan my next move.

I text her a few days later and we have a good conversation. The following day, a Thursday, I text her again and she asks what I'm doing that night. I tell her my roommate and some friends are going out and ask if she would like to join for which she responds, "Yes." Plans for the night fall through and I text her explaining this to which she replies, "Why don't I come over."

She comes over, we talk for about 2 hours, and everything appears to be going great. I walk her to her car and make plans for the following day; she then gives me a hug before she leaves. The next day rolls around and she gives me an excuse for not being able to go out that night. I think little of it and move on.

Throughout the week (last week) I text her but her responses are short and she doesn't attempt to continue the conversation, very different from the week before. On Friday I go to a party she is throwing and she basically ignores me. I decide I will go around and talk to the other women at the party and when I leave I say goodbye and invite her to my roommate’s birthday the following day. I did not expect her to show up but she does. She is still somewhat distant towards me but I have a decent conversation with her and her friends.

Last night I decided that maybe she wanted me to make a move. I text her and we have some small talk and then I ask her if she would like to go get dinner this week. At first she responds that this week does not work. I ask about next and then she tells me... LJBF.

I'm surprised. I thought I was doing well and in the span of a week our short relationship went from hot to cold to friend. I'm kind of scratching my head wondering where I went wrong. Do y'all have any ideas? Thanks for your input.
