One of my friends came with me on this night out, his game is tighter than mine and he has a bit more swagger than I do. Kind of that natural ladies man thing. It's cool hanging out with him but sometimes he gets most of the attention. I'm ok with it though since he is cool and I learn a lot from him.
We both roll up to Hampden at around 11:15pm or so and walk around for a bit to scope the scene. It's a bit dead but I kept my hopes up that we would find something. Worst case scenario we would at least talk to a few folks and keep it moving. Nothing really going on except Fraziers (OF COURSE). We get our ID's checked grab a couple of beers and walk around the bar. It's majorly dead but there is a decent amount of people out tonight.
I noticed that there were a load of couples out, not sure why there were so many but there were a ton. My friend and I talked for a bit, then went to the back bar at Fraziers (this place has 2 bars) to check out the girls there. Plenty of cute ones walking around but many of which had BF's or some sort of situation set up as they wouldn't leave their guys.
As my friend and I were seated at the bar talking a couple of cute girls walk up next to us to get drinks. They were chatting waiting for the bar tender, then all of a sudden they started talking to us! The cuter girl was directing her attention at my friend while the other one was sort of aloof about the whole convo all together. To be honest they weren't interested in either of us and my friend picked up on this quiet fast, their conversation wasn't really going anywhere and they kind of were just talking "At" us if that makes sense. After about a minute of this we both give up on them and they walked away after getting their drinks.
We looked around a bit more and spotted girls some more here and there but they had BFs and the ones that were outright alone were not good looking. I spotted a couple of really cute girls sitting at the booths on the opposite side of the bar and tell me friend "Yo, you see those two over there?? That one girl is balling!" He agrees, I then tell him "Bro i'm going to start talking to them, I will invite you over as soon as I can." I think I am getting better at this approach thing because without hesitation I just waltz over to the two girls and said "Excuse me, I really like your hair! It's a really cool buzzcut) I like girls with short hair and this chick was cute as hell with that style. I genuinely meant what I said so it made it all flow out easier, I asked for her and her friends name and shook their hands. Not sure if I want to keep doing the handshake thing (I may start just introducing myself without shaking hands to see if that works better for me.) I let them know that I want them to meet my friend to which they said that they are leaving soon and weren't sure if they had the time. I responded by saying "Give us 5 minutes, we just want to talk to you we think you guys are cool" at this point the other girl, her name was Claire, got up and went to the bathroom. The girl I was focused on "Paige" said the following as soon as Claire got up, she grabbed my shoulder and said "Look I got to be honest with you, that other girl is actually my Wife, we are married" For some reason I INSTANTLY saw right through this shit test, probably because I had a lesbian FWB before and kind of knew this test already.
In response I said "give us 5 minutes let's just talk for a bit and have fun!" she agreed. I made a joke that since her friend was in the bathroom that she was going to love all of the attention us 2 guys were giving her. She laughed at this joke and we made to small talk. After about 4 minutes her friend came back and sat with her. My wingman talked to Claire and I talked to Paige. We talked for a good 10-20 minutes and the whole time I was plowing with Paige. She was enjoying the convo but resisting expanding a bit and I was running out of things to say. At this point we hear a dudes voice from behind her say "Paige" in a stern manner. The conversation stopped on a dime with both girls and they said to us "Well it was nice talking, we got to go" She then whispered some sexy thing into her "wifes" ear and they get up and follow the dude to the bar to close their tab (and if you are curious this dude was average looking, like super average looking).
My wingman said to me "Wow I see what is going on." He is more observant than I am and I said back "what??" He then says "That dude is banging both of them, he is probably going to go balls deep in a few minutes" I told my bro, "Bullshit man he is probably just their ride or something" Curious, we observed for a few more minutes as they were closing their tab. As they left Paige and the other dudes body language confirmed what my wingman thought was the case. All I said after witnessing that was "Damn that sucks, guess they have a history together" this bar has a lot of regulars, and it looks like that guy beat us to the punch a long time ago. It would've been a different story if we got there a few days earlier haha.
We were a bit disappointed but not discouraged, this bar was a bit dead since everyone had close friends or BFs with them and we couldn't break through. We decided that maybe we should stop at one more bar then go to fells point. As we were walking back towards my car we noticed that a new bar was opened in this area, we only noticed it because there were people outside smoking and talking. We walked up to this bar and it is really cool looking with a nice vibe. However again there were a lot of couples already squared away. My friend wanted to go to the bathroom so he heads in and I just wait outside of the bathrooms in the bar area. A few seconds later a really cute girl comes up and asks "are you waiting too?" I said "yep" and made some deep eye contact to see where she was coming from. She was cool and we made some quick chatter before she walked inside the opposing bathroom.
Once my friend came out I let him know what happened and tell him that I will talk to her as soon as I take a leak. When I came out I went right up to her and introduced myself. I just opened with "Hey there, thanks for telling me that their was another bathroom" I introduced myself to her friends that were sitting with her and then made idle chatter about how it was our first time there and yadda yadda. She was giving me very good vibes and cooperative energy, however the guy she was sitting next to appeared to be flirting with her too before I was. Not only that, I knew this dude from a previous night! (He was a bar tender at a place across the street and I asked him to give me a hookup if I ever bring a girl back there a few weeks earlier). As I was talking to this girl, I think her name was Nicki or something I felt a little bad about messing up this dudes game. My friend that was with me got up and left to sit alone at the tables since he really wasn't feeling it tonight. I let her know that I am going to go check on my friend and that it was nice talking to her. I could've stayed in, but I left because I know how it feels to have some other dude fuck you over, not only that I sort of knew this guy.
I have some class so I let that one go for real, i didn't really feel bad about it either. As I stepped back I noticed she glanced at me more than a few times and started resisting the guy she was originally with for a little while. But he stayed in it and eventually he got her to kiss him. I felt better now that I didn't screw that dude over. My friend and I talked for a bit and we bounced. All in all not a bad night, got some good experience and I enjoyed myself. Planning to go out again on Saturday, we will see.
