So I was at a formal meeting with a client whom I've known for 4 years. We've seen each other at times and have partied together as well in the same group. That day with her was one of those times when I felt like I've truly connected with a girl. She's someone who I also had a huge crush on because I love ambitious women and she's one hell of a career oriented girl.
We were talking about Ok Cupid and the dates we've been on through it, sharing stories and stuff. I didn't have any expectations from the meeting apart from just it being this basic get to know what she wants and GTFO.
But good god, we opened up so much about our dreams. And one thing- I was completely being myself. Apart from trying to qualify myself a few times (telling her I'm a dancer and shit) I was teasing her, sharing what I REALLY think and just letting myself out there, not judging her for anything and letting her open herselves up too).
She felt equally as happy being around me, so much so that she offered to drink with me later in the night. So we went to grab a drink. This is when my desperate needy sef kicked in. I started making fun of her, judging her, being too hyperactive on beer (doing completely stupid nasty shit). I saw her face go from 'good god finally I met an awesome guy' to 'nope, another creepy weirdo'. I also made the worst mistake possible- Told her about the seduction community and how much it has helped me. She took it as me learning how to manipulate women into sleeping with me, because we were talking about tinder. And I shared some dark secrets of mine with her (I once shaved my head out of shame as a mild form of suicide). Even though she was sharing things like these with me too, but from my side it was too much. But damn I never felt a connection like this before. I know she felt it too, but I ruined it.
A couple more things happened in the same date- As she yd me about her dates I started to feel insecure. I'm a virgin and never had success with girls, and I'm fairly good looking, and the guys she showed me were normal dudes and she became obsessed with one. I started feeling the 'what did I lack that this guy had?' and made fun of her for choosing him. Bad mistake but I somehow couldn't help it for some weird reason.
Also I've have had some tinder matches lately. The only reason why I screwed up most were similar- I asked out/pushed for sex/number too early without knowing the girl. I am either a full cocky dick or full interview mode, just can't seem to figure out how to normally conversate.
Basically, my problem is that I'm too desperate and too open too soon. I just want to know how to correct this problem? And how do you guys decide the course of action when YOU KNOW what's wrong with you but don't know how to fix it?
Also how to set your expectations right? I'm so afraid of going into the friend zone that I tend to go all out, and this scares the girl. I tend to be too pushy too early, and I am not aware of the emotional experience of the girl because I feel like if I do I'll be too nice and screw it up ending her as a friend.
How to prevent this? Hope I made my mistakes clear
