Hey Guys - wanted your opinion on the following interaction I had last night. I feel like the past year of going out has made me cynical, but again wanted outside feedback.

I went out last night with a buddy of mine. Saw a very cute girl with within a group of 3 on the dance floor. I passed by her a few times but didn’t make a move as she was grinding on her girlfriends.

Later, my friend and I are at the bar. The cutie girl ends up walking up to the bar and puts her empty glass on the bar but it slips out and make it looks she threw her glass. With a big smile on my face I yell out "Damn girl, chill out" and she jokingly (at least I think) gives me the finger and mouths "fuck you". I turn to my friend with a big smile and make a joke. I turn around and she is next to me with her friends getting a vodka cranberry. I open with " I thought only white girls get vodka cran, not Hispanics" ( I assumed was Hispanic and I guessed correctly). She responds with " How do you know this isn’t tequila and cran" I respond with "didn’t know that was a thing." She then replied " are you offering me to buy a drink?" I respond smiling "this isn’t an open bar". She turns away, my friend who’s next to me and asks what happened. I say she wanted me to buy her a drink. He says she cutie and its the end of the night, maybe you should. The club was about to close, and I had noticed that no guy had tried to give her attention which was surprising as the club had mostly men and she was very attractive. I turn around and say how about I get us a round but I choose the type of drink. She refuses again.

Not sure if my past year of going out has made me cynical but for some reason I've been thinking about this interaction since last night. I never had a situation where a girl has asked me to buy her a drink within the 1st minute of conversation. I am trying to figure out if i should have been more playful with my interaction, considering, at least in my mind I was straightforward and to the point in this interaction.

Would love any feedback.
