I was at a party and an after-party last night. I was opening girls, but was often feeling lost as to what to do. Out of nervousness (the wrong reason!) I was doing takeaways, and that wasn't helping anything.

The #-Close was with this girl I met last week through a friend. He brought her to last night's party. She hovered near me at times. I kino'd a bit while trying to talk amid the loud music and chattering. All that noise makes it seem very incidental. I didn't stay focused on her, but before she left, I asked her if she had facebook. When she said she didn't, I took out my phone and asked her to put in her number. She did and called herself. There's attraction there, but I didn't do anything to really expect anything more but some flaking.

There was a girl giving me the eye at the party. I talked with her, then walked away. When I was nearby, she looked at me again, so I checked in with her a few times. She seemed to come to the party with this guy I know who is married, but that doesn't seem to stop him.
I saw her again at the after-party. On the dancefloor, we try to dance to Latin music. We're holding hands and talking. She's talking about her goals. Looking back, I was too serious and maybe that's what led me to feel like I didn't know what to say. I was being real nice-nice instead of having fun. I didn't know what to do so I left her to make a big joking deal of dancing with this guy friend to save this girl friend of mine from him. Takeaway out of nervousness (booooo!) Pretty soon, she's back with the married dude and they leave.

At the after-party, there are 3 girls who are surprised but excited that all these foreigners have come to this bar. My friends and I talk with them a bit. Later in the night, I'm sitting with a beer and getting bored. I stand up and start walking to this 3-set. They start taking pictures of each other and I jump right into the pics. Soon, these 3 girls and I are in a little circle dancing. They're totally taking my lead on how to dance. So playfully I do a move and have them copy. We do this a few times and then I tell them it's their turn and one-by-one they introduce a silly dance move for the rest of us to copy. By the time it's my turn again, we're flapping our hands like tiny wings. I didn't know what to do with a set of 3, so I went to the bathroom when the song ended. Before they left that night, one of them wanted to know how to spell my name so she could add me on facebook.

TL;DR: I'm opening girls at parties and on dance floors and then I soon feel like I don't know what to do.
