I had been watching Neil Strauss' videos on The Cube on youtube and decided to give it a shot at the bar. Heres the rough transcript (ive skipped the small talk leading up to it)

Me: I want to play this game to get to know you better. Ever heard of "the cube"?

Hb8: no, is it like wii? Haha

Me: haha, no, its way more intense

Hb8: oooh, ok, what is it?

Me: ok, close your eyes and imagine a room. Now i want you to put a cube in it.

Hb8: ok.

Me: how big is the cube?

Hb8: 5'2!

Me: hahaha, wow thats the most precise answer ive ever recieved.

Hb8: haha

Me: ok, now this cube is it solid, see through or a mix?

Her: see through!

Me: cool. Is it at an angle or dead on?

Her: I see it from the corner Me: awesome... This is very interesting

Her: what does this mean??

Me: don' rush me woman!

Her: haha

Me: ok, i want you to add flowers around your cube. (Pause) what kind are they?

Her: roses! Red, white and yellow!

Me: oooh, interesting... Not many people pick roses (not true at all)

Her: i know, im special like that

Me: you sure are (kino, hug, push off) ok! Last object. You ready??

Her: yes!

Me: add a horse (pause) where is the horse in the room? What is he looking at?

Her: he is just chilling looking around.

Me: describe the horse using human characteristics

Her: nice, calm

Me: haha very interesting. You ready to find out what this all means?

Her: yes!!1!1!

Me: you said your cube was 5'2 ... Your cube represents your ego....apparently you really identify with your height!

Her: omg, i do! I hate being short

Me: you shouldn't you rock those heels well (kino touch, deep eye contact and smile)

Her: haha thanks

Me: you said your cube was see through which means youre open to letting people talk to you, know you, kind of an open book (she nods) you also said your cube was at an angle, which means youre pretty creative... Maybe a dancer or an artist

Her: omg, i used to dance competitvely in highschool... You are crazy!

Me: hahaha, show me a dance move

Her: ok (she does one)

Me: whew, ok give me a second to gather myself

Her: haha

Me: ok, next... The flowers, you said roses. You must have some very beautiful friends who have a bit of an edge (i had no idea how to interpret roses, total Bs)

Her: yes, i do!

Me: ok... Now, the horse. He represents your ideal lover.

Her: uh oh (cute nervous laugh)

Me: you said he's kind of chillin, which means youre not really that keen on finding him... But you know you want a nice, calm man.

Her: omg... This is so crazy (laughs)

Me: am i a magician or what?

Her: you are so awesome! I loved that game

Me: no, you're awesome! (Kino, hug)

I proceeded to flirt, isolate kiss and number close.
