This semester's been interesting, after getting frustrated with me and pushing me away and giving me an insurmountable hole of desperation to climb out of, my ex got super jealous and possessive and begged me to take her back after I was seeing another girl. Decided it wasn't worth the trouble ultimately, but in short: Haven't really had the interest to meet all the beautiful women running around campus right under my nose.

Today I figured I should probably start because things with this ex aren't going too smooth, and I told myself I'm never going to let her do that to me again. So, let's begin.

Second class lets out, see a familiar face - a short term girl friend I had before my ex - figured I'd say just because it's been awhile and we're on pretty good terms, but rather neutral towards each other. Catch up and look over my shoulder and make eye contact, she hooks, we're both Virgo (if you're not into spirituality than don't bother with that statement), so we were both pretty undemonstrative and blasé, but we got some ground information on where we've moved on in life, said "Bye" to her and walked off after I told her I'm sorta cuffed and I just wanted to say "Hi" since it was crazy seeing her. She's ridiculously attractive so I have a bit of momentum at this point, go to my next class.

Get out, once again, tell myself I'm going to do a couple of approaches before I left, and thankfully I didn't let myself down. I gave myself permission to suck since I haven't cold approached in 2(?) weeks.

Walked down the main road, girl caught my eye going the other way, so I turned around and approached. "Hey, that outfit you're wearing made me do a 180, you look stunning in it" introduced myself, strong frame, she instantly hooks, qualifies and relates since, vibing pretty well, but then she sorta locks eyes with this other guy who's her friend, maybe does the "Help me!" look, but my intuition says not, but she broke circle. I just patiently stand there nonreactively waiting for her to rebound back to me, but she kind of politely dismisses me and let's me know she has to be somewhere and that it was nice meeting me.

I literally shrug it off, and just walk back, then I see another cute girl on her way, so I make eye contact with her, ask her about what's going on where she just passed, and transition into a really smooth open. I start walking with her, vibe some, relate, build a pretty decent connection, maybe one or two spots I fumbled. But she was on her way to study so I let her know I had work soon, and that rather than distract her while studying, we could get to know each other over a coffee, and asked when she was free next. Weird reaction, but she basically just gets resistant, and brushes the meet ask off, a rare occurrence for me, straight disinterest - but hey - I'm not expecting every girl to like me, I'm looking for the ones that do.

So what did I learn?

  • When a girl breaks circle, wait for her to come back, and continue talking, we were talking, and we're going to continue talking because we like each other. Instead of a shrug and an "Okay" and eject, tell her, "Let's continue talking on your way there, you seem cool." and close things out from there. Not very assertive of me to just eject with such a weak frame.
  • Incorporate more physicality into the interactions, and get her more comfortable with me. My diagnosis of the second girl being on the fence to straight up reject me like that is lack of comfort. She hooked and all, but maybe I needed to put myself out as a more three dimensional person, or move her to where she was studying. It could've been she was straight up not interested, and some girls will be like that, they don't like the version you're putting out - that's why there isn't only one girl, there are a bunch. For some reason she seemed interested because usually when girls hook they're open to meeting.
  • Ask the girl to move with you after she hooks, so the interaction is more efficient, rather than just arbitrarily walking with her until the interaction tapers off.

If you guys have feedback I'd love to hear it, my technique and process is never a finished product!
