Over time I've developed my own style and approach, using years of experience and some of the helpful material I've read on seddit (which I've only very recently started reading). I'm so-so at approaching, and pretty solid with getting numbers and dates, and converting. Almost all of my funnel comes from not-loud bars and parties, which is the extend of my game. Reading about day game here convinced me to step up to the plate and swing.

I left my apartment this morning to grab a cup of coffee (11am). To my surprise, there was a parade blocking the path to the coffeeshop I frequent, so I had to visit a new one. Inside, I ordered a cup of coffee to go, and seeing how cute/hipster the barrista was, a croissant to eat there. I sat down at a table with a tactical view of both the counter, and the outside area by the parade.

I was in the mood to open a set. As I quickly ate my croissant, I made quick mental notes of how I was going to approach the barrista, and how I could at least temporarily isolate/engage in conversation. As I looked outside, I saw a girl standing alone taking pictures with her phone of the parade, HB. Bingo.

I left the coffeeshop, and just as I was approaching, HB was taking a picture of the parade.

Me: "If you want, I can take a picture of you with the parade in the background. It would be way more lively"

She turned around and smiled. "No thanks, I'm good"

We engaged in some quick banter about the parade, and which floats were awesome. Parades are great because its intermittently loud, and its easy to lean in and whisper a point and get some early kino.

We spent approximately 15 minutes discussing the parade, our backgrounds, why I was in town (just moved here), and because I was new in town, cool places to get food and drink.

Eventually, I closed with "Hey, I have to get going, but this shouldn't be the last time we see eachother. Put your number in my phone". And she did.
