So I'll make this a nice quick post. I just finished reading the Game, and really wanted to get out there and exercise my new found pick up knowledge.

Some background: I have pretty bad approach anxiety. The only people worse at approaching women in bars are my friends, so its never really a healthy environment when i go out. Yesterday i said screw it, im gonna approach as many people as I can.

I meet my friends at a bar around 9. It was a sports bar, not really my kinda place. This actually made me feel more relaxed though. I had a few drinks (I know this probably isn't the best way to start, but i needed some courage), and headed over to a 4 set.

They were drinking out of penis shaped straws, so I walk up and compliment them on their penises. They laugh and tell me it's a bachelorette party. I single one of the girls out, and we talk for a bit.

For the rest of the night I use the opener "Are you guys part of the bachelorette party". Of course they aren't, but it gives me an in. With each approach it got much easier. I must have opened at least 6 sets in the 2 hours I was there.

Overall, im proud of getting over my approach anxiety (or starting to at least). I couldn't really hold any conversation that long though, and didnt come anywhere near to closing. There was also one really cute girl in the bar, and I didnt have the nerve to go up to her.
